October 13: Security forces in Manipur arrested two individuals linked to proscribed insurgent groups and recovered a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and communication devices from two busted camps on Sunday, officials reported on Monday.
An active cadre of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party, Konthoujam Vikash Meitei, also known as Tamthiba and Bungo, aged 22, was apprehended from his residence at Lamshang Haorang Sabal Mamang Leikai, under Lamshang Police Station, Imphal West district.

During on-the-spot interrogation, security forces obtained information that led to the capture of Nongmaithem Shyamkumar Meitei, also known as Ramu, aged 39, a cadre of the outlawed Kanglei Yaol Kanna Lup, from Uchon Awang Leikai under Andro Police Station, Imphal East district. He is a resident of Sekmaijin Khunou under Hiyanglam Police Station, Kakching district.
On 12.10.2025, Security Forces recovered from multiple locations within Bishnupur district, the following:

ii.05 (five) bolt action rifles,
iii.01 (one) AK-47 rifle with magazine,
iv.01 (one) MP-9 with magazine,

In the third phase of the operation, conducted at multiple locations within Bishnupur district, security forces dismantled several militant camps and recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives, according to official reports.
The seized weapons and equipment included:

Earlier, on October 11, the Manipur police, in coordination with central forces, conducted a house-to-house search and anti-insurgency operation targeting cadres of various Valley-based underground outfits. Officials reported that a large number of weapons were recovered during the operation.
Acting on a tip-off, the joint team carried out operations along Ngairangbam Loukon Inter-Village Road (IVR), connecting Khongakhul and Longa Koireng villages under Patsoi police station, Imphal West district.
During the search, identification parades were conducted among locals, with most male youths present. While no arrests were made, a substantial cache of weapons was recovered, including:
