July 15, 2025 – In a significant breakthrough for stability in the strife-torn state, Manipur Police, in a joint operation with various security forces, recovered a substantial cache of 86 weapons and 974 rounds of ammunition and other warlike stores in the valley districts during early morning operations today. The coordinated intelligence-led raids underscore the persistent efforts by authorities to restore peace and security in Manipur.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs regarding concealed arms and ammunition, a multi-agency operation was launched simultaneously across several peripheral and suspected areas in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur districts. Joint teams, comprising personnel from the Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and units of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, meticulously swept through the designated locations, uncovering a formidable arsenal.
