The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, inaugurated the ‘Smart Delhi Ideathon 2025’ on Monday, an innovative initiative by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in partnership with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
This dynamic platform invites students from universities, engineering and management institutions, and colleges across Delhi to play a pivotal role in shaping the city’s future by proposing creative solutions to its pressing issues.
The Ideathon focuses on addressing key urban challenges such as traffic congestion, women’s safety, waste management, pollution, and more. Students are also encouraged to explore solutions for inclusive housing, a critical issue in Delhi’s development.
This initiative highlights the transformative potential of collaboration between academia and the community to solve real-world problems. The Lieutenant Governor called upon all eligible students to participate enthusiastically, unlock their creative potential, and contribute to making Delhi a benchmark for urban governance.
” I urge all eligible students to actively participate, unleash their creativity, and contribute to making Delhi a model for urban governance,” the LG said.
