What is Sensorineural Hearing Loss?
Sensory neural nerve hearing loss, commonly known as sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL), is a kind of hearing impairment caused by damage or dysfunction of the inner ear or auditory nerve. While sensorineural hearing loss is a very common type of hearing loss, there are several unusual and particular varieties that are less common. The auditory or cochlear nerves transport sound information from the inner ear to the brain.
