AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal and BJP’s Narendra Modi engage in a war of words, with Kejriwal accusing Modi of using the RRTS project inauguration as an opportunity to launch baseless attacks on AAP, while Modi criticizes AAP’s decade in power as a “wasted” one for Delhi.

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s criticism of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi during the inauguration of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the project was only made possible due to his party’s cooperation despite alleged “atrocities” against its leaders.
“Those who say that AAP keeps fighting should look at today’s inauguration as proof that AAP works solely for the people of Delhi. Despite our top leadership being jailed and facing atrocities, we did not let that hinder development. Otherwise, these projects would not have been inaugurated,” Kejriwal stated, as reported by ANI.
Kejriwal alleged that PM Modi’s speech during the event was predominantly focused on attacking AAP. “The Prime Minister spoke for 38 minutes today, out of which 29 minutes were spent abusing the AAP government and the people of Delhi. It felt disheartening. The promises made to Delhi in 2020 remain unfulfilled, and people are still waiting,” Kejriwal said.
He further accused the BJP and PM Modi of running their Delhi Assembly election campaign on a platform of targeting AAP. “Every day, PM Modi insults the people of Delhi and their elected government. The people will give him a fitting reply in the elections,” he added.
Kejriwal’s remarks come in the wake of recent cases where prominent AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, spent months in jail over the Delhi excise policy controversy.
PM Modi Inaugurates RRTS Corridor
Earlier on Sunday, PM Modi inaugurated a 13-km stretch of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, connecting Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to New Ashok Nagar in Delhi. The corridor now links Meerut city directly to the national capital.
At a rally in Rohini following the inauguration, the Prime Minister launched a scathing attack on AAP, accusing it of wasting a decade in Delhi. “AAP-da has squandered 10 years of the people of Delhi, turning every season into an emergency. All major development projects in the city have been undertaken by the central government, as AAP lacks a vision for progress,” he said.
