Did Kanye West really pay $250,000 to bury a sex tape? Kevin Blatt, the man behind several celebrity scandal deals, claims he helped take the footage off the market a decade ago. As Ye breaks his silence with a cryptic response, fans are left wondering—will the tape ever leak?

Kanye West, now known as Ye, is facing renewed controversy after claims about an alleged sex tape resurfaced. Hollywood fixer Kevin “KB” Blatt, who has handled high-profile celebrity scandals, alleged that he prevented a tape featuring West from being released over a decade ago.
Blatt — who is Jewish and previously worked in the online adult entertainment industry as a marketing and PR specialist — made the claims after the 47-year-old’s disturbing, antisemitic rants to X.
Blatt, known for brokering deals involving Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian’s sex tapes, took to social media, posting:
“Hey @ye, remember that sex tape I helped take off the market for you in 2012… in Vegas? Yeah, this JEW didn’t forget about what a horrible performance and small [eggplant emoji] you had on MDMA.”
Kanye West reportedly paid $250,000 in 2012 to remove a leaked sex tape, according to Hollywood fixer Kevin Blatt. Blatt posted on Instagram:
“Hey ye Remember that sex tape I helped take off the market for you in 2012 with that hooker in Vegas? Yeah this JEW didn’t forget about… pic.twitter.com/p5jzB29ogM

The alleged tape, which reportedly features West with an unknown woman, was said to have been retrieved from a laptop the rapper had given to a family member. In December 2016, West’s cousin, Lawrence Franklin, told Daily Mail that the footage was discovered in 2012, around the time West started dating Kim Kardashian. Franklin claimed that West paid over $250,000 to retrieve the laptop and ensure that no copies of the footage existed.
West seemingly referenced this incident in his 2016 song Real Friends, rapping:
“I had a cousin that stole my laptop that I was f–kin’ bitches on / Paid that n—a 250,000 just to get it from him / Real friends / Huh?”

Though the tape never surfaced, rumors persisted that a deal was struck to keep it buried.

West’s Response
In response to Blatt’s resurfaced claims, West took to X (formerly Twitter) with a cryptic and provocative statement:
“THAT WAS A FUN NIGHT CANT WAIT TO SEE IT AGAIN.”
The post, which has since been deleted, sparked a wave of speculation online. Some questioned whether West was confirming the tape’s existence, while others believed he was simply mocking the situation.
The Timing: Bianca Censori Split
The resurfacing of these allegations comes amid reports that West and his second wife, Bianca Censori, have split. Censori, a 29-year-old architect, allegedly grew exhausted from West’s erratic behavior, with insiders claiming that his antisemitic rants and the sale of swastika merchandise were the final straw.
An insider told Page Six:
“She’s been an awesome wife and awesome collaborator, she’s been through so many crazy moments, but this one may be unsurvivable.”
Censori, who had been West’s muse for over two years, reportedly took a step back from their relationship following their headline-grabbing appearance at the 2025 Grammys, where she wore a completely sheer dress.
With West embroiled in multiple controversies, including this alleged sex tape and his recent breakup, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold. While Blatt’s claims reignite curiosity about the tape’s existence, West has yet to provide any serious clarification.
As speculation grows, fans and critics alike are left wondering: Is there more to this story, or is it just another bizarre chapter in West’s ever-controversial life?
