Jyotiraditya Scindia’s mother passes away at AIIMS
According to sources, Madhavi Raje Scindia, the mother of Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, passed away this morning at AIIMS in Delhi.

She had been on the ventilator over the last few days and passed away at 9:28 am, the source told Press Trust of India.
According to the source, she was being treated for sepsis and pneumonia at the premiere hospital for the past three months, as reported by Press Trust of India.
Madhavi Raje Scindia hailed from the royal family of Nepal and had married Madhavrao Scindia, who was descended from a royal Maratha family and was the son of the last ruling Maharaja of Gwalior, Jivajirao Scindia.

According to information found on the internet, Madhavi Raje was the great-granddaughter of Juddha Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, the Maharaja of Kaski and Lamjung and the Prime Minister of Nepal; and the daughter of Army General of Madhesh Province in Nepal, who was a patrilineal descendant of Sardar Ramakrishna Kunwar of Gorkha.
Madhavi Raje and Madhavrao Scindia had two children, a daughter, Chitrangada Singh (born 1967) and son Jyotiraditya Scindia (born 1971).
Jyotiraditya Scindia
Jyotiraditya Scindia is a politician who is currently the Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel in the Narendra Modi-led ministry since 2021. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Madhya Pradesh since 2020.

As a previous member of the Indian National Congress, Jyotiraditya served as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and Corporate in the second Manmohan Singh ministry from 2012 to 2014.
Chitrangada Singh
Chitrangada Singh, the sister of Jyotiraditya, is an Indian businesswoman. Chitrangada was born in England’s Oxford in February 1967.
On 11 December 1987, Chitrangada Raje was married to the Vikramaditya Singh, a politician and the son of Karan Singh, a philosopher and politician who was the first Sadr-i-Riyasat of Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and also the son of Hari Singh, the last ruler of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir.
