In November 2024, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which debuted globally in September of last year, will make its Japanese premiere. Twin, a distributor of Indian films, will handle the film’s distribution in Japan. The film is an action thriller that was co-written and directed by Atlee, who also made his debut in Hindi cinema. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale five months in advance, on July 5, and buyers will reportedly receive posters of the actor from the song “Chaleya.”
Jawan: A Blockbuster Hit and International Acclaim
It was Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of the year, following Pathaan, and was directed by Atlee Kumar. The supporting cast of the film, in addition to SRK, includes Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Nayanthara, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Eijaz Khan, Leher Khan, Aaliya Qureshi, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Girija Oak. The movie, which has the support of Red Chillies Entertainment, was supposedly produced on a massive Rs 300 crore budget.
When it comes to its global receipts, the movie brought in over Rs 1,000 crore, making it the actor’s second 2023 release to accomplish this milestone. Presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance in 2024, Jawan is the only Indian film to receive a nomination for an ASTRA Award.

Hideo Kojima’s Enthusiastic Endorsement of SRK’s Pathaan
The Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima, who previously led accolades for SRK’s Pathaan, also posted the movie’s image.
Kojima had described the movie as pure pleasure. He tweeted about Pathaan in September 2023, writing, “Too busy these days, mentally and physically exhausted.” I have to fill up my high-octane fuel tank. I went to see the Indian film “PATHAAN” in an IMAX theater. All in all, it was fantastic! I felt completely numb! My blood vessels were opened by it! The energy level was MAD MAX! I believe I can hold it for a while after viewing this! John Woo, RRR, 007, Mission Impossible—the entire shebang! A couple Metal Gear components as well! A round of applause followed the screening. Strongly advised!”
You’re losing out if you don’t see it! These days, movies overthink things. This movie is just for fun! Watch this movie to escape the summer heat—it’s still hot! When the BD comes out, I’ll buy it, and I also want the OST,” Kojima had previously stated.
