ISRO launches first-ever ‘Space Club’ at 10 Indian schools in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with Science India Forum Saudi Chapter
In a revolutionary program, ISRO, in partnership with the Science India Forum Saudi Chapter, inaugurated the first-ever ‘Space Club’ at 10 International Indian Schools in Saudi Arabia.
This is ISRO’s initial global project, designed to enhance space science education and involve Indian students in the Gulf region with India’s progress in space research.
The inauguration occurred last week, with both virtual and in-person events held at the same time. Students assembled in designated halls at each of the schools involved. Biju Mullassery, the leader of the Science India Forum Saudi as National President, led the event.
Dr Kiran Kumar, ex-ISRO Chairman, gave a speech on space exploration’s key achievements, hurdles, and potential for business during the event.

Dr Anil Bhardwaj, the head of ISRO’s Physical Research Laboratory, provided more details about the structure and objectives of India’s space projects.
Dr B N Suresh, the Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, motivated students to consider pursuing professions in space science, emphasizing the importance of mathematics and science.
The organizers of the Science India Forum described the program as a key effort in encouraging space science education for Indian students living in the Gulf region, with the goal of motivating future scientists and engineers.
