YouTubers Samay Raina and Apoorva Makhija, popularly known as ‘The Rebel Kid’, would appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW) via video conference after their submission for virtual attendance was approved.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and others over the use of ‘derogatory’ remarks on the show India’s Got Latent. They were asked to appear on February 17 at noon at the NCW office in New Delhi.
Sources told the media that podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, who remains at the centre of the controversy over his “sex with parents” remark, has not provided any information to the NCW about his appearance.
Along with Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina and Apoorva Makhija, the NCW summons have been issued to other creators such as Jaspreet Singh, Ashish Chanchlani, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra.

The women’s panel expressed strong concern over the “vulgar and offensive” statements made by creators on the YouTube show.
“These comments, which have sparked widespread public outrage, violate the dignity and respect owed to every individual, particularly in a society that upholds equality and mutual respect,” said the women’s panel in an official statement.
India’s Got Latent Row:
Allahbadia, a popular YouTubers known as BeerBiceps, asked an outrageous question to a contestant: “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?”
The remark quickly went viral, prompting severe backlash for its offensive nature. Viewers condemned the lack of responsibility shown by Allahbadia and the creators for promoting such crude content without any warnings.
The Guwahati Police registered an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Samay Raina and all judges on the show, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell also registered an FIR against more than 30 people related to the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent.’ Furthermore, several other complaints have been made against the YouTubers, including one in the Bandra Magistrate Court, demanding stringent action against those who have used derogatory remarks on the show.
