Indian-origin man killed in Canada
A 28-year-old Indian man was fatally shot in Surrey, Canada, in what detectives think was a planned attack. Yuvraj Goyal, the victim, was discovered dead by police officers following allegations of a shooting at his residence on the morning of June 7. Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Yuvraj Goyal emigrated from Ludhiana, Punjab, in 2019 on a student visa. Global News claimed that he works as a sales professional at a vehicle dealership in Surrey, British Columbia. He had lately been granted Canadian permanent resident status.

According to the Global News report, Goyal was on a phone call with his mother shortly before he was shot and killed outside his home.
“He came back from his gym, his usual routine, and stepped out of his car, only to be shot. He had just had a conversation with his mother approximately a minute or 30 seconds before being shot. He walked out of his car, said goodnight to his mother in India, and was shot,” Goyal’s brother-in-law Bawandeap told Global News.
Four suspects held in connection with murder
The Surrey Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a statement that four individuals were identified and captured shortly thereafter. On June 8, the four people were charged with first-degree murder in connection with Goyal’s death. They were identified as Manvir Basram (23), Sahib Basra (20), Harkirat Jhutty (23), all Surrey residents, and Keilon Francois (20) of Ontario.
