India’s air defense system intercepted Pakistan’s F-16 jets after Islamabad carried out strikes at various sites in Jammu and Punjab. Simultaneously, drone strikes have been thwarted in Udhampur, J&K, and Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, while a drone was downed in Akhnoor.

In Poonch, two Kamikaze drones were shot down as well.

Pak launches attack at various locations in India

In a significant escalation, Pakistan launched attacks on multiple sites in Jammu, including the airport. On Thursday night, rockets were launched at Jammu from beyond the International Border.

One of the drones struck the Jammu Civil Airport, leading to a scramble of fighter jets in reaction. India engaged its air defense systems, which effectively intercepted the approaching rockets.

Unprovoked shelling along LOC by Pak forces

Pakistani forces have again engaged in unprovoked shelling along the Line of Control in the districts of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Samba, and Uri in Jammu and Kashmir late Thursday night.

The S-400 air defense system successfully intercepted eight Pakistani missiles over Jammu airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, and surrounding regions. Two Pakistani drones were shot down close to Jammu University.

The escalation from Pakistan came in under 48 hours after India initiated Operation Sindoor aimed at terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
