The Board of Control for Cricket in India has informally conveyed to the International Cricket Council (ICC) that India will not visit Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy. Key BCCI sources have informed India Today about the development and disclosed that the board will reveal its stance once the tournament schedule is finalized.
The Champions Trophy, making a comeback after an 8-year hiatus, will feature the leading 8 teams in the global arena. Pakistan holds the right to host the tournament in 2025, and Pakistan Cricket Board head Mohsin Naqvi has repeatedly emphasized that if India wishes to face Pakistan, they must visit the opposing country.
BCCI verbally tells ICC India won’t travel to Pakistan
“Verbally we have communicated but soon we will send an official mail to ICC about the government directions that we are not travelling to Pakistan for Champions Trophy,” a BCCI source told India Today.
When India Today reached out to the ICC for confirmation, a source indicated that they would verify the information once the tournament schedule is released.

“An ICC source stated, ‘The schedule isn’t finalized yet; we are still in talks with the host and participating countries about the Champions Trophy schedule. Once it is confirmed, we will communicate through our usual channels.'”
EaRler, it was Reported that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and will instead participate in matches using a hybrid model in the United Arab Emirates.
