Culprit detained 45 days after incident in Khammam district

A Hyderabad-based physiotherapist’s attempt to cover up the killings of his wife and two minor girls as a car accident failed when police caught wind of the plot and detained him on Sunday. The arrest of Boda Praveen occurred 45 days after the event in Khammam district.

The incident occurred on May 28, while the family was traveling from Hyderabad to their home town in Khammam district. Praveen originally said that their automobile slammed into a wayside tree, killing his wife, Boda Kumari, 26, and their two girls, aged two and three.

However, an investigation of the accident scene raised suspicions among the investigators. After additional investigation, it was discovered that Praveen had planned the entire scene to conceal the crimes.

Praveen murdered wife after she became aware of his illicit relationship

Khammam ACP SV Ramanamurthy stated that Praveen, a 32-year-old physiotherapist, was having an adulterous affair with a colleague at the hospital where he worked.

When his wife learned about the affair, they had a fierce argument. Praveen saw his family as a barrier to his unlawful romance and sought to kill them.

Praveen gave his wife a fatal dose of injection on the premise of treating her medical problems. After Kumari died, he strangled his daughters to death.

Praveen then staged the accident by ramming the car into a tree, trying to portray the murders as an unintentional accident. The police’s diligent investigation discovered the exact nature of the crime, resulting in Praveen’s arrest on Sunday.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
