Jairam Thakur, the Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh, organized a samosa gathering for BJP leaders and workers in Mandi on Friday following the controversy regarding the snack that involved Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, which became a major topic in the state.

A strange dispute arose when three boxes of samosas and cakes, which had been brought from Hotel Radisson Blue to be served to CM Sukhu at the CID headquarters for an event on October 21, disappeared and were instead given to the CM’s security personnel. A CID investigation was initiated into the incident, prompting a response from the BJP, which labeled the Congress government as a “laughing stock.”

In a video posted by the BJP Himachal Pradesh unit on X, Jairam Thakur, the ex-state Chief Minister, was spotted sitting with party leaders and workers while enjoying some snacks.

Jairam Thakur throws samosa party

In a video shared by the BJP Himachal Pradesh unit on X, Jairam Thakur, the former state Chief Minister, was seen sitting with leaders and workers of the party and enjoying the snacks.

“Bahot swadisht hai bhai (It’s very delicious),” Thakur is heard saying to the attendees of the party.

The party had also featured jalebi, which was a talking point after the Haryana Assembly Election results ended with the BJP victory.

The BJP had mocked Rahul Gandhi over his jalebi comment during the campaign trail and sent 1kg of jalebis from Bikanervala in Delhi’s Connaught Place to the Lok Sabha LoP’s residence on Akbar Road.

The general public is abuzz with speculation as the details of the situation are deliberately obscured by the bureaucracy, in a bid to conceal a disgraceful reality: those responsible for safeguarding the elected leader of the state government failed to secure the chief minister’s samosas. They want to know if they can safeguard the chief minister if they cannot even secure his samosas.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
