Ever since the Pahalgam terror attack, there has been growing anger all over the country. There have been calls from all quarters to punish those involved in the deadly assault.
In the recent course of action on the terrorists, the security forces have destroyed the residences of five terrorists, throughout Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities reported that the most recent action took place in the Shopian, Kulgam, and Pulwama districts as part of a heightened effort against LeT terrorists and individuals believed to be connected to the lethal attack.
The terrorists whose houses have been demolished are:
Ehsan Ul Haq: An explosion in the Murran Pulwama region of South Kashmir on Friday night led to the demolition of the double-storey house of Ehsan Ul Haq Sheikh, who is a suspect in the Pahalgam terror attack. Ehsan, reported to have undergone training in Pakistan in 2018, had just returned to the Valley.
Shahid Ahmed Kutte: The residence of LeT commander Shahid Ahmed Kutte in Chotipora village, Shopian, was destroyed and reduced to rubble. Officials state that Kutte has participated in terrorist activities for the past three to four years and is thought to have been played a key role in coordinating anti-national operations.
Asif Ahmad Sheikh and Adil Ahmad Thoker: The residences of these two LeT terrorists, Adil Ahmad Thoker and Asif Sheikh, were destroyed in distinct blasts on Thursday evening.
Sheikh’s residence in Mongaham, located in South Kashmir’s Tral, was razed, whereas Thoker’s home in Gurre village of South Kashmir’s Bijbehara was demolished. Reports suggested that explosives were kept within their residences.
Zakir Ahmad Ganie: Authorities announced the destruction of a home owned by Zakir Ahmad Ganie in Mutalhama village, Kulgam district, on Friday evening. Ganie is also believed to be connected to the Pahalgam terror attack. It is thought that Ganie has been engaged since 2023.
Earlier that day, the Anantnag Police issued sketches of Thoker and two other militants believed to be connected to the Pahalgam attack. Authorities named the additional suspects as Pakistani citizens Hashim Musa, referred to as Suleman, and Ali Bhai, known as Talha Bhai, and declared a reward of Rs 20 lakh for any information that leads to their capture.
