Speaking to the media after visiting the Lakshmi Venkateshwara Temple in JP Nagar in Bengaluru for special birthday prayers, Deve Gowda said, “Prajwal has gone outside (the country). HD Kumaraswamy has previously stated that appropriate legal action should be taken. I won’t take their names. Many others are implicated in this, and they, too, should face consequences.”
According to sources, the former prime minister, who turned 92 today, is in no mood to celebrate his birthday in light of developments surrounding his grandson Prajwal, who is the lead accused in the alleged sex tape scandal and is currently absconding.
JD-S MLA H.D. Revanna, the son of Deve Gowda, was recently freed on conditional bail after being imprisoned in connection with a kidnapping case involving a victim of his son’s alleged sex scandal.

Prajwal Revanna is still absconding
Prajwal is still at large after allegedly fleeing to Germany on April 27. To try and get him back, an Interpol Blue Corner Notice has been issued against him.
Meanwhile, attempts are underway to repatriate Prajwal Revanna back to India. Prajwal, the JD(S) Lok Sabha MP and candidate for the Hassan seat, is an accused in the sex video case and is currently out of the country.
Prajwal stood as the NDA candidate in Hassan’s Lok Sabha election on April 26. His party established an alliance with the BJP in 2023.
