Hours before his wedding on Wednesday, 29-year-old gym trainer Gaurav Singhal was allegedly stabbed fifteen times in his face and chest at his South Delhi home.
According to the police on Friday, Gaurav’s father Ranglal, who was taken into custody in Jaipur, is suspected of killing him. Soon after the incident, Ranglal vanished, starting a manhunt that ended with his quick capture by night.
Three other people who were involved in the case are on the run and police is in search for them.
Police had received a call on Thursday around 12.30 am. Upon reaching the scene, they found that Gaurav Singhal had been attacked with a knife and was taken to Max Hospital by his family.
Police discovered blood inside the home during the inquiry, and it seemed like Gaurav’s body had been dragged after he was stabbed to death in an attempt to conceal it.
According to authorities, Gaurav’s marriage was arranged and was set to take place on Thursday. But it’s believed that Gaurav wanted to wed someone else and only consented to the union because his family pressured him to.
Gaurav and his father argued over this matter a lot.
