Gurugram, August 17: Early morning firing was reported outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s upscale Sector 56 locality. Police said three unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle around 5:30–6 am, with two of them opening fire before fleeing the spot.
Elvish Yadav was not at home at the time, as he had travelled outside Haryana for work. His father, Ramavtar Yadav, said about 25–30 rounds were fired. “The police are here. I was sleeping when the firing occurred. Elvish never received any threats. CCTV shows three men on a bike, with two of them firing near the gate,” he told reporters.

This incident comes weeks after escalating gang-related violence in Gurugram, including the killing of singer Fazilpuria’s aide Rohit Shaukeen and an attack on Fazilpuria’s car. The police are investigating whether Friday’s firing at Elvish Yadav’s home was linked to similar extortion or gang rivalry, though the Yadav family insists no threats were received.
Elvish Yadav, a controversial figure in the influencer circuit, was arrested last year in a case related to a rave party where snake venom was allegedly used as a recreational drug. He was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
