Grew Energy to set up solar manufacturing facility in J&K

Grew is the first renewable energy company in India to open a factory in the state of Jammu. With its state-of-the-art automated machinery and high-tech facility situated in Kathua, Grew is the only solar firm in India to own such unique technology and a cutting-edge production facility.
Recently, the company held a groundbreaking ceremony at the facility. Dignitaries from the Chiripal group, including Ved Prakash Chiripal, Jyoti Prasad Chiripal, JaiPrakash Chiripal, and Brijmohan Chiripal, were present, along with Vinay Thadani, CEO and director of Grew Energy and Hardip Singh, COO of Grew Energy.

Encompassing an area of eighty acres, this high tech facility plant is expected to produce 3.2GW of high-efficiency modules annually and 2.8GW of ingots, wafers, and cells. It complies with global regulations and is outfitted with sophisticated automated technology.
Mr. Vinay Thadani highlighted the new plant’s revolutionary effect on Jammu & Kashmir’s socioeconomic fabric while expressing gratitude to the government for its support. He emphasized how the facility supports India’s aggressive net-zero goal and creates job opportunities.
Grew Energy wants to become a major participant in India’s renewable energy market by achieving a total manufacturing capacity of 6GW for modules and 2.8GW for solar components by FY25. Focusing on premium Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) modules, the company hopes to support India’s efforts towards energy independence and make a positive impact on global environmental objectives.
