Young man found dead in police custody; entire police post suspended
Following the death of a young man in their custody, the Noida Police has suspended the entire police post.
The man died under suspicious circumstances in police custody at a post in Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida West. The family members of the youth are accusing the police of negligence.
Taking cognizance of this matter, Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh sent Additional CP, Law & Order and DCP, Central to the spot.

According to sources, the police detained the young man late on Wednesday night in connection with a girl’s case, and his body was found hanging in the police post the next morning.
According to the information received, a youth died on Thursday morning in Chipiyana outpost of Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida. When the young man’s family reached the police station, the police was taking him to the hospital. While making a video, the family members started accusing the police of negligence and murder of the youth.
Family alleges murder
Accusing the police, the brother of the deceased said, “The police brought my brother to the police post at night, asked for a bribe of Rs 5 lakh, I gave Rs 50 thousand. They had asked for Rs 1000 for liquor also, I gave that too. I was outside the post at 10.30 pm. I said I will give Rs 4.50 lakh in the morning. The police had said that they would release my brother in the morning. Now my brother has been hanged to death by the police.”

Actually, policemen had come to Chipiyana post in Bisrakh police station area last night with the young man. The young man was brought to the police station for questioning after the girl had disappeared.
A Noida Police officer stated that Yogesh, the deceased, worked at a bakery in Chipiana. Initial investigations reveal that the allegations were made by one of his colleagues, leading to his summons to the police post for questioning. He took his own life around 10 am today, prompting further action to be taken in this matter.
