An FIR has been registered against BJP leader and the head of its I-T department Amit Malviya in Bengaluru. A Congressman’s complaint led to the filing of the FIR.
The case against Malviya was registered over his tweet on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

The FIR was filed on the complaint of Former Congressman Ramesh Babu.
BJP MP Tejasvi Surya responded by claiming that the FIR was “politically motivated” in response to the development.
“The FIR filed against Amit Malviya is politically motivated. Plain and simple. The case is registered under 153A and 505(2) of the IPC for his alleged statement against Rahul Gandhi,” Surya tweeted.
