According to the seat-sharing agreement announced on Monday, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) will run for 16 seats in Bihar while the BJP will contest 17 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Seat-Sharing Announcement: Bihar NDA Alliance Reveals Constituencies for BJP and JD(U)
At a joint press conference with members of the Bihar NDA alliance, Vinod Tawde, the General Secretary of the BJP, announced the seat-sharing arrangement.
The seat-sharing agreement lists the following important seats as ones where the BJP will field candidates: Pashchim Champaran, Purvi Champaran, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Maharajganj, Saran, Begusarai, Nawada, Patna Sahib, Patliputra, Aara, Buxar, and Sasaram.
In the meantime, the JD(U) will run for the seats in Valmikinagar, Sitamadhi, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Siwan, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Nalanda, Jehanabad, and Sheohar.

Bihar Seat Allocation: Parties Announce Constituencies for LJP, HAM, and RLSP
In addition, the Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) faction will run for five seats: Jamui, Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, and Khagariya.
But there was no talk of seat-sharing with Minister Pashupati Paras’s LJP faction. “Talks with him are ongoing,” Bihar BJP chief Samrat Choudhary responded when questioned about it.
The Hindustani Aawam Morcha (HAM), led by Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) will each run for one seat.
The Election Commission declared on Saturday that there will be seven phases to the Lok Sabha elections, which will take place from April 19 to June 1. The seven phases of the Bihar elections are scheduled for April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. On June 4, the election results will be released.
