Sooraj Pancholi, who made headlines during the high-profile Jiah Khan case, is set to return to the silver screen after a four-year hiatus. Known for his debut in Hero (2015), Sooraj Pancholi is now grabbing headlines for his upcoming historical action drama, Kesari Veer.
Marking Sooraj Pancholi’s first on-screen collaboration with Suniel Shetty, Kesari Veer brings to life the valiant tale of Hamirji Gohil (played by Pancholi), a fearless warrior who stood against the Tughlaq Empire to defend the Somnath Temple. The recently released trailer, coupled with its star-studded lineup, has already sparked considerable buzz. As Kesari Veer has finally hit the screens today, there have been reports about how it will fare at the box office.

In an exclusive conversation with film business expert Rohit Jaiswal, he clarified that Kesari Veer, which is having a box office clash with Rajkumar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s Bhool Chuk Maaf, will be having a decent start and will be earning Rs. 80 lakhs to 1 crore today.
With an opening day collection of Rs 80 lakhs to 1 crores, Kesari Veer is expected to become Sooraj Pancholi’s second highest opener after Hero which earned Rs 6.85 crores.
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty got candid about working with Sooraj Pancholi suring the trailer launch of the film and stated, “He’s seen a lot. Now, he’s got this second chance. Trust me, this is an opportunity the Almighty has given, that Mahadev (Lord Shiva) has given. You’ll see it in the film that he’s unbelievably good! Every time I see him on screen, it’s like I’m watching Ahan. That’s the kind of effort he’s put in. And the same kind of love”.
