The total number of fatalities from the explosion at a chemicals factory in Telangana rose to 34 on Tuesday, according to officials, as reported by the PTI news agency. The initial count of fatalities was 12.
“Multiple bodies have been discovered beneath the rubble during its removal. As many as 31 corpses have been retrieved from the rubble, while three passed away in the hospital during treatment. The final phase of the rescue operation is still underway,” district Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj informed PTI.
The disaster occurred at Sigachi Industries in Pashamylaram when a reactor allegedly blew up on Monday morning. The blast caused a massive fire.

CM Reddy expected to visit the site today
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is anticipated to visit the accident location on Tuesday to assess the circumstances directly and connect with the families impacted. His visit occurs amid rising worries about safety practices in industry and protections for workers in the area.
Although the precise reason for the explosion has yet to be verified, initial signs indicate that a chemical reaction within the reactor might have initiated the disaster. Authorities are continuing to look into the situation.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma of Telangana conveyed his profound sadness regarding the tragedy. He offered sympathies to the families of the deceased and hoped for a quick recovery for those injured in the blast.
The Governor also communicated with the Labour, Employment Training and Factories (LETF) Principal Secretary M. Dan Kishore, instructing him to provide all possible support and aid to the victims of the explosion.
