ED Raids Linked Locations
As per sources cited by ANI, the ED’s searches target individuals connected to the Aam Aadmi Party. The raid is focusing on those associated with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The searches encompass multiple locations, including the residence of CM Kejriwal’s secretary. Furthermore, this move underscores the widening scope of the ED’s investigation into potential money laundering activities linked to the AAP.
Sources indicated that the investigation pertained to purportedly unauthorized contracts issued by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) amounting to more than Rs 30 crore. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) countered, asserting that the raids were a retaliatory move following an impending expose by AAP senior leader and Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi.
During a press conference convened on Tuesday, Atishi vehemently criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED), alleging its adoption of intimidation tactics and corrupt practices to suppress the AAP.
Delhi Government Minister Atishi instantly reacted after the raids. She added:
“ED raids are going on against AAP leaders and people associated with AAP. Raids are underway at the residence of AAP Treasurer and MP ND Gupta, Arvind Kejriwal’s PA and others. BJP want to suppress our party through central agencies but I want to tell them that we will not be afraid…”

Kejriwal’s Absence and Legal Action
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had skipped the fifth summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in connection with a money laundering case. The previous case relates to an alleged liquor policy scam. Subsequently, on February 6, the ED took legal action by approaching a Delhi court regarding Kejriwal’s failure to appear before the investigative agency despite multiple summons.
BJP MP Sunita Duggal attacked Delhi CM Kejriwal for his reluctance to comply with ED’s due process. She added:
“So many ED summons have already been sent to Arvind Kejriwal. He should reply to them instead of questioning the summons. All the AAP leaders who have been investigated till now have not been able to prove their innocence in court and are still behind the bars.”
