The appearance of unidentified drones over New Jersey has ignited a wave of speculation, with theories ranging from rogue aircraft to a potential classified government operation.
The sightings, which began in mid-November, have persisted for weeks, leaving the public and officials largely in the dark. While the administration has dismissed public concerns, Ballman pointed to comments by National Security spokesman John Kirby and media discussions on detection systems as potential indicators of a classified test.
“Kirby’s statements that the drones are not operating illegally, combined with numerous op-eds on the need to improve detection systems, lead me to believe this could be a classified test of evasion or detection technology in urban environments,” Ballman stated. However, she ruled out CIA involvement, noting it’s not within their purview to operate within the United States.
Ballman emphasized the need for greater government transparency on the matter.
Initial reports suggested the drones were flying over northern New Jersey before appearing near critical infrastructure. The FBI downplayed the incidents, citing a lack of evidence for widespread drone activity, while security officials dismissed public concern as an overreaction.
As theories abound and public anxiety escalates, the government’s silence on the matter continues to fuel speculation.
