Multiple Delhi Schools Evacuated Following Bomb Threats

Mass evacuations were ordered on Wednesday morning after at least six schools in Delhi and one in Noida received bomb threats via email, according to police officials.

The Delhi Police said that Mother Marry School in East Mayur Vihar, Sanskriti School, Amity School in Pushp Vihar, DAV School in South West Delhi, and the Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka and Vasant Kunj unit all received the bomb threat. A similar bomb threat was also received by DPS Noida.

As soon as the threat was received, sources state that the school was evacuated and the students were sent home.

Delhi Schools Under Threat: Authorities Respond to Bomb Scare

The bomb threat was received by DPS Dwarka at six in the morning. Several fire tenders, members of the Delhi Police, and the Bomb disposal squad (BDS) were then dispatched to the scene. The police officers said that after a thorough investigation of the school’s grounds, they had not discovered anything unusual.

The campuses of Mother Mary School, Sanskriti School, Amity School, and DPS Noida were also searched in a similar manner.

The principal of Delhi Public School in Noida stated: “An email threatening the students’ safety and security has been received by Delhi Public School in Noida. We are sending the students back home right now as a precaution.”

According to preliminary findings, the emails used to send the threat had IP addresses from countries other than India. The Delhi Police believed that a VPN might be used to hide the IP address. In relation to the matter, an investigation is in progress.

“Teams are looking, but so far nothing unusual has been discovered. We’re looking into the IP that sent the email. Early in the morning, the email was received,” DCP Dwarka informed the media in a statement.

A bomb threat was received by Delhi Public School, RK Puram, earlier in February of this year. Police searched the area, but nothing unusual was found.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
