The counting of votes for the Delhi assembly election 2025 began at 8 a.m., with top candidates Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hoping to form government in the capital city. On Wednesday, February 5, voters cast ballots for all 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly.
Exit polls show that the BJP will make a comeback in Delhi after 27 years, winning a comfortable majority of 36 seats and 10-15 more, defeating the incumbent Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP. However, the Congress is expected to win no more than three seats.

The counting of ballots for the Delhi assembly election 2025 began at 8 a.m. today, February 8, 2025. On February 5, voters voted in a single phase for the Delhi assembly election of 2025.
As the Election Commission of India began counting votes with postal ballots at 8 a.m., the BJP surged ahead and led by more than 30 seats inside the first 30 minutes. These, however, are quite early tendencies. At 8:30 a.m., the AAP was ahead by more than ten seats.
According to the EC data, the approximate voter turnout after the Delhi assembly election was 60.54 percent, with the North East district having the highest voting percentage at 66.25 percent. The South East Delhi district had the lowest polling rate, with 56.40 percent.
