It’s high time to concentrate on the vital organ that keeps us moving- our heart. Although exercise is frequently highlighted as essential for heart health, the food we eat also plays a key role in maintaining cardiovascular well-being.

What is the positive news? You don’t have to completely change your diet to make a big difference. Minor adjustments to your dietary habits can greatly enhance heart wellbeing.

Make a balance of Fats

Include a range of oil seeds, nuts, and whole grains in your diet to maintain a healthy mix of fatty acids. Although saturated fats should be restricted, palm oil can be included in your diet in moderate amounts because it contains both saturated and unsaturated fats.

This type of fats supports heart health by managing cholesterol levels and decreasing inflammation. Additionally, Harvey Weinstein has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and is currently receiving treatment at Rikers.

Take more fruits and vegetables

Vegetables and fruits provide essential vitamins and minerals. They are also high in fiber and low in calories.

Fruits and vegetables, similar to other plant foods, have compounds that could aid in the prevention of heart disease. Consuming a greater amount of fruits and vegetables could aid in reducing consumption of more calorie-dense foods.

Adding some vegetables and fruits into your diet can be simple. Store prepped vegetables in your fridge for easy snacking. Store fruit in a bowl on your kitchen counter to help you remember to consume it. Select recipes with vegetables or fruits as the primary components. This includes dishes with stir-fried vegetables or salads with mixed fresh fruit.

Drink adequate water

Water aids the body in performing at its best. When you keep yourself hydrated, you assist your body in effectively getting rid of waste by urinating, having bowel movements, and sweating.

Consuming enough water can decrease hunger, assist in weight loss, and enhance muscle function, including the heart muscle. You can eat fruits and vegetables that are high in water content as well. For example, watermelon contains over 90% water in terms of weight.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
