The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has formally announced the Class 10 results for the academic year 2024-25 today, May 13. Students who took the exams from February 15 to March 18, 2025, can now access their scorecards on the official websites of the board — cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in.
This year, the total pass percentage is 93.66%, showing a slight rise of 0.06% compared to 2024. From a total of 23,71,939 students who took the exam, 22,21,636 passed it successfully.
According to the CBSE Class 10 results for 2025, 45,516 students attained marks exceeding 95%, representing 1.92% of the overall candidates. Furthermore, 1,99,944 students scored above 90%, constituting 8.43% of all test-takers.
5.96% students got compartments
In the 2025 CBSE Class 10 results, a total of 1,41,353 students have been categorized in the Compartment section. This figure represents 5.96% of the overall 23.7 lakh students who took the test. In relation to the 5.91% of 2024, this represents a modest rise, signifying an ongoing necessity for academic support and remedial actions for students encountering educational difficulties.
Girls excel with 95% pass percentage
Girls have once again achieved the academic advantage with a pass rate of 95.00%, while boys recorded a rate of 92.63% — a gap of 2.37%. This year, transgender students achieved impressive results as well, attaining a notable 95.00% pass percentage, reflecting advancements in inclusive academic achievement.

PM Modi congratulates students
Prime Minister Narendra Modi used his official X (previously Twitter) account to commend students who passed the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams. In his message, he stated, “Heartiest congratulations to everyone who has cleared the CBSE Class XII and X examinations! This is the outcome of your determination, discipline and hard work. Today is also a day to acknowledge the role played by parents, teachers and all others who have contributed to this feat.”
