Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the BJP-led NDA’s sweeping victories in Maharashtra and various bypolls, emphasizing the party’s commitment to unity, development, and good governance. Speaking at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Modi attributed the wins to the public’s rejection of divisive politics and dynastic rule.
“The mantra of ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’ (unity ensures safety) has resonated with people across the country,” Modi stated, highlighting the inclusive support from tribals, OBCs, Dalits, and other communities. He praised voters for choosing development over division, saying, “Lies and deceit have suffered a crushing defeat. The country stands firmly with those who prioritize ‘nation first,’ not ‘kursi first’ (power first).”
Modi lauded Maharashtra for granting the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance a third consecutive mandate, marking it as the sixth state to do so after Gujarat, Haryana, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. He noted that the victory in Maharashtra broke electoral records, calling it the largest win for any party or alliance in the last 50 years. “This is a testament to the unwavering trust of the people in our vision for a developed and united India,” Modi said.
He also congratulated key leaders Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar for their roles in the alliance’s success. Modi emphasized that the results demonstrate the people’s preference for stability and progress under the BJP’s leadership.
Taking a direct jab at the INDIA alliance, Modi accused the opposition bloc of failing to understand the public’s sentiment. “The INDI alliance has shown it cannot align with the nation’s aspirations. Their focus on power over progress has been rejected,” he asserted. Modi further criticized the Congress for what he described as an “outdated and divisive agenda,” claiming that their attempts to polarize voters based on caste, religion, and region had backfired.
A Resounding Mandate Across States
The Prime Minister also highlighted the BJP’s success in bypolls in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Assam, and Madhya Pradesh. “The support for the BJP-NDA continues to grow across India, reflecting the people’s trust in our policies and leadership,” Modi remarked. He thanked the people of Jharkhand for their support, pledging to accelerate the state’s development.
Modi reiterated the BJP’s focus on balancing development with heritage, describing it as the party’s guiding principle for Maharashtra’s progress in the next five years. “With ‘vikas bhi, virasat bhi’ (development with heritage), we will create a stronger and more inclusive Maharashtra,” he said.
The Prime Minister concluded his speech by thanking BJP workers nationwide for their relentless efforts, calling the victories a collective achievement that underscores the public’s faith in the BJP’s governance model.
