Ayodhya organized its first ‘Deepotsav’ following the inauguration of the Ram temple in January, setting a new Guinness World Record with more than 25 lakh diyas illuminated on the shores of River Saryu.

On Wednesday, October 30, the eighth ‘Deepotsav’ was celebrated in Ayodhya, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath taking the lead. The Chief Minister, along with his team and others, lit the initial lamps to signify the initiation of Deepostav — the first one since the dedication of Ram temple on January 22 this year.

10,000 security personnel deployed for public safety

To make sure the public is safe, around 10,000 security staff were sent out in the city, with half of them disguised in regular clothing.

An unique setup featured 80,000 diyas positioned in the form of a swastika at ghat no. 10, representing good luck and serving as a main highlight for the occasion.

Security protocols involve the blocking of 17 pathways that lead to Ram Ki Paidi, permitting only those with passes to enter.

A lively parade featuring colorful floats depicting characters from Ramayan passed through the temple town. Yogi Adityanath welcomed the procession with an ‘aarti’ and personally led the chariot carrying artistes portraying Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
