A Hong Kong to Delhi Air India flight had to return mid-flight after the pilot indicated a possible technical issue, sources informed news agency ANI.
Flight AI315, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, took off from Hong Kong on Monday morning and was on its way to Delhi when the problem was identified. Following standard safety procedures, the pilot opted to go back to the starting point.
The specifics of the alleged technical issue have not been officially verified. The plane safely returned to Hong Kong, and there were no immediate injury reports.

Every passenger and crew member was safely evacuated from the impacted aircraft.
Air India has not released any public statements about the type of technical issue or the flight’s rescheduling.
The recent technical malfunction occurred just days following a tragic accident involving the same model of aircraft. A 787-8 Dreamliner from Air India heading to London from Ahmedabad crashed just after take-off, resulting in 270 fatalities, with 241 among those on the flight. Among the 279 fatalities from the incident, there were 29 others on the ground, including five MBBS students.
