The alleged crime has triggered a serious investigation into the safety and security protocols within the medical facility.

During her stay, she experienced a severe health crisis stemming from a reported drowning incident. Initially, she was admitted to one private medical facility for treatment. In her harrowing account to the police, the victim stated that the alleged sexual assault occurred on April 6th while she was on a life-support ventilator in the ICU. She described her utter helplessness at the time, being physically unable to speak or move due to her critical condition and the medical equipment. “At that time, she was on a ventilator and could not speak and was very scared. She was also unconscious at the time of the incident, and two nurses were also around her,” the complaint detailed, raising serious questions about the oversight and conduct of hospital staff present.
Upon her discharge on April 13th, the survivor bravely recounted the alleged assault to her husband, who promptly contacted the emergency police helpline (112) and subsequently filed a formal complaint at the Sadar Police Station, with legal counsel present to assist.
Gurugram police spokesman, ACP (Crime) Sandeep Kumar, officially confirmed the registration of the case. “Following a complaint filed by the victim, a case has been registered at the Sadar Police Station, Gurugram. Multiple police teams have been formed and immediately dispatched to the hospital to meticulously examine the duty rosters of the staff present on the night of the alleged incident and thoroughly analyze the CCTV footage recorded within the ICU and surrounding areas to identify the accused individual(s),” stated ACP Kumar.

He further added, “The investigating teams are proceeding with utmost sensitivity and urgency. The statement of the victim has been carefully recorded before a magistrate as per legal procedures. We are committed to a swift and impartial investigation and will apprehend the accused at the earliest based on the evidence gathered.”
Despite repeated attempts by the media, the private hospital administration has so far refused to issue any official statement regarding the serious allegations. When contacted, the hospital’s security personnel denied any knowledge of such an incident occurring within their premises. This silence from the hospital management is likely to intensify scrutiny and public concern surrounding patient safety within private healthcare facilities.
The police investigation is expected to involve detailed questioning of hospital staff, including doctors, nurses, and other support personnel who were on duty in the ICU on the night of April 6th. Forensic teams may also be involved to gather any potential evidence from the scene. The case has already drawn significant attention, highlighting the vulnerability of patients in critical care.
