The cleric who had alleged that Mohammed Shami sinned by not observing fast during Ramzan has now condemned the pacer’s daughter for celebrating Holi. Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, president of All India Muslim Jamaat, stated that the celebrations for Shami’s daughter were unlawful and contrary to Shariat.
Razvi criticized Shami during the Champions Trophy when the bowler was spotted drinking water in the semi-final match against Australia. In a video that came out late Saturday, Razvi stated that if Shami’s daughter is wise and still participated in Holi, it constitutes a crime and will be viewed as contrary to Shariat.
In a video published late Saturday, Razvi stated, “She’s just a little girl … If she celebrates Holi without understanding (it), then it’s not a crime.” “If she is sensible and still participates in Holi, then it will be viewed as contrary to Shariat,” he mentioned.

Razvi mentioned that he has advised Shami and his relatives to prevent their children from engaging in acts that contradict Shariat and stated that Muslims should refrain from celebrating Holi.
“I have urged Shami and his family members to ensure their children do not engage in anything that contradicts Shariat. Holi is a significant festival for Hindus, but Muslims ought to refrain from celebrating it. He stated that “It is a crime if someone observes Holi while being aware of Shariat.”
Razvi praises Shami for winning Champions Trophy
Shami was crucial to India’s Champions Trophy victory, taking 9 wickets across 5 matches while effectively leading the pace attack. Razvi praised the Indian team members and Shami for their victory on Saturday.
“I congratulate Team India’s captain, all the players, and Mohammad Shami from the bottom of my heart on their success,” he said.
