Amit Shah Mocks Rahul Gandhi Over Article 370 Remarks During Udaipur Roadshow
Home Minister Amit Shah, while conducting a roadshow in Rajasthan’s Udaipur on Friday evening, took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and mocked him over his earlier remarks that the removal of Article 370 will lead to turmoil in Kashmir. The BJP leader said that under Prime Minister Modi’s government, no one has the guts to throw a stone in the state.
The roadshow was held hours after voting for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections got over. While addressing the rally, Shah said, “In Kashmir, (Peoples Democratic Party chief) Mehbooba Mufti and (Congress leader) Rahul Baba (Gandhi) used to say there would be bloodbath here once Article 370 is removed.”

He further said, “Rahul Baba, five years have passed (since the abrogation of Article 370). This is the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Leave alone the talk of the bloodbath, no one has the guts to throw a stone there.”
On Friday evening, Shah conducted a roadshow in the city to endorse Mannalal Rawat, the BJP contender for the Udaipur Lok Sabha seat. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma drove an open car with him, and the tour started at Delhi Gate Chauraha and ended at Surajpole Chauraha.
The two BJP leaders waved their hands to the public and workers along the roughly one-kilometer roadshow.
The Home Minister also made a jab at the Congress, claiming that the great old party would be destroyed as a result of Friday’s seat elections. Shah also gave off the impression that the BJP would win every seat in the state.
There will be two rounds of voting in Rajasthan’s 25 parliamentary constituencies. The first phase of voting for 12 seats ended on Friday, but on April 26 there will be a second round of voting for the state’s remaining 13 seats.
