New Delhi, December 30, 2025: Raihan Vadra, the 25-year-old son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra, has got engaged to his longtime partner Aviva Baig, marking a private and joyful milestone for the families.
The couple, who have been together for nearly seven years, recently exchanged their engagement with the consent and blessings of both families. Sources close to them said the engagement was an intimate affair. Aviva Baig and her family are based in Delhi, and the two families are known to share a close bond.
Despite his prominent lineage, Raihan Vadra has largely maintained a low public profile and carved out an independent identity as a visual artist and photographer. He began exploring photography at the age of ten, encouraged by his mother. The creative legacy runs in the family—his grandfather, former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, was also an avid photographer, whose work continues to inspire him.
Raihan studied at The Doon School in Dehradun, an institution attended by both Rajiv Gandhi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, before pursuing higher studies in politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

His photographic work, showcased by Mumbai-based contemporary gallery APRE Art House, spans wildlife, street, and commercial photography. In 2021, he debuted his first solo exhibition, Dark Perception, at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The exhibition explored themes of imagination, light, space, and time, shaped by his recovery from an eye injury sustained during a school cricket match in 2017. “I started doing a lot of black-and-white shoots after my eye accident, using darkness to seek light,” Raihan had said in an earlier interview.
Aviva Baig, Raihan’s fiancée, is also a photographer and creative producer. A Delhi native, she completed her schooling at Modern School and earned a degree in Media Communication and Journalism from OP Jindal Global University. She has exhibited her work at several prominent shows, including You Cannot Miss This at the India Art Fair in 2023 and The Illusory World in 2019.
Beyond the arts, Aviva is a former national-level football player and is known for using photography as a medium to highlight social issues and everyday realities.
The engagement brings together two young artists united by shared creative passions and a commitment to meaningful expression. While the families have chosen to keep further details private, the announcement has drawn warm wishes from social and media circles alike.
