That earlier memo listed Trump as 6 feet 3 inches (190 cm) tall, weighing 224 pounds (102 kg), with well-controlled high cholesterol. It also mentioned his “excellent golf performance,” according to Reuters. Since then, Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency — a common age-related condition that can cause leg swelling.
The latest health update comes as Trump faces renewed scrutiny of his fitness for office, one year after President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 race amid similar concerns. Throughout his campaign, Trump frequently emphasized his vitality, contrasting himself with Biden and portraying himself as the fitter candidate.

Trump’s health has long been a talking point. His former physician, Harold Bornstein, once revealed that during the 2015 campaign, Trump dictated a statement describing his own health as “astonishingly excellent.” Bornstein later said that in 2019, Trump required Walter Reed staff to sign nondisclosure agreements during a visit later confirmed to be for a colonoscopy, according to NBC News.
