Rising Malaria Cases in Delhi: A Cause of Concern
Delhi is witnessing a troubling rise in malaria cases, signaling a growing public health concern for the capital. With a noticeable increase compared to previous years, the resurgence is largely being driven by the monsoon season, which creates favorable breeding conditions for mosquitoes in waterlogged areas and urban slums.
Health experts point to poor sanitation, stagnant water, and delays in preventive measures as key factors fueling the uptick. The city’s health infrastructure is now under pressure to ramp up mosquito control efforts and promote community awareness.
