Merely days before her 25th birthday, Content Creator Misha Agarwal died on April 24, 2025. The news was confirmed by her family on her Instagram account.
They have now revealed that Misha took her own life. On Wednesday, the family mentioned that she was dealing with feelings of sadness and anxiety regarding her career, particularly after she began to lose followers on Instagram. This caused her to feel extremely low.
Misha dreamt of One million followers on Instagram
They revealed that Misha had centered her entire life around Instagram, aspiring to reach one million followers. She was so dedicated to this goal that she even made it her phone’s lock screen.
Misha’s family issued a statement that read, “My little baby sister had built her world around Instagram and her followers, with a single goal of reaching 1 million followers and gaining loving fans. When her followers started decreasing, she became distraught and felt worthless. Since April, she had been deeply depressed, often hugging me and crying, saying, ‘Jijja, what will I do if my followers decrease? My career will be over.”

Her family had tried to comfort her
Her family recalled attempting to soothe her, saying that Instagram was just a portion of her life, not the entirety. They told her that even if things didn’t pan out online, it wouldn’t spell disaster.
“I reminded her of her talents, her LLB degree, and her preparation for PCSJ, telling her that she’ll become a judge one day and doesn’t need to worry about her career,” read the statement.
The tragic announcement of Misha Agarwal’s passing was verified by her family via a heartfelt message posted on her official Instagram account on Friday, April 25.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of Misha Agrawal’s passing. Thank you all for the love and support you showed her and her work. We are still trying to come to terms with this immense loss. Please keep her in your thoughts and continue to carry her spirit in your hearts,” read the message shared on Misha’s Instagram account.
