The microblogging platform X (previously called Twitter) experienced several outages on Monday as users globally reported that the app and website were malfunctioning, preventing them from sharing content.

Numerous users mentioned that they encountered issues accessing their X feed at least three times today.

X noted the initial outage at approximately 3 pm, when users began reporting the disruption on DownDetector, which monitors outages by gathering status reports from various sources, including errors submitted by users on its platform.

Information from the DownDetector website indicated that more than 17,871 reports were filed concerning the microblogging platform at approximately 3:20 pm.

The users once more voiced their complaints regarding the second outage at 7:32 pm. Additionally, users reported problems again when trying to post content on the microblogging platform at approximately 9:32 pm, as stated by DownDetector.

According to the tracking site, 56 percent of users encountered difficulties with the app, whereas 33 percent experienced issues with the website. 11 percent of users faced issues with server connections.

However, X has not released any formal statement regarding the reason for these outages. After the social media site faced a disruption, many users turned to alternative platforms like Facebook and Reddit to voice their annoyance.

The worldwide shutdown of the microblogging service sparks a meme celebration on social media. Users turned to X and various social media outlets to voice their annoyance about the outage through memes.

X, previously known as Twitter, was purchased by tech mogul Elon Musk in 2022. Musk acquired the app for an astonishing $44 billion.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
