Due to rumors about their marriage, Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been in the news a lot. After 37 years of marriage, reports indicate that they might be on the verge of getting a divorce.
According to a family source who spoke to ETimes amid the continuing rumors, Sunita sent a separation notification a few months ago, but nothing has changed since. In the meantime, Govinda has finally responded to the divorce rumors.
ETimes contacted Govinda, who responded, “These are only business talks going on…I’m in the process of starting my films.” Meanwhile, the portal quoted Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha as stating, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it.”

Sunita, Govinda’s wife, disclosed a major secret about their marriage during an interview last month. Ahuja confirmed that she does not live with the actor. Sunita added that while they live in a flat with their children, Govinda lives in a cottage across from the apartment. When discussing their decision to live separately, Govinda’s wife made a bold declaration, stating that while she used to be confident in her marriage, she no longer feels the same way.
