Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday intensified his criticism of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and INDIA bloc partner Arvind Kejriwal, stating that he arrived in a WagonR vehicle and proceeded directly to the ‘sheeshmahal’.
Addressing an election rally in Delhi’s Hauz Qasi area, the Congress leader said, “Arvind Kejriwal showed up in a WagonR, dressed in a sweater, and ascended a pole. After that, he descended and went to his sheeshmahal.”
The bungalow located at 6, Flagstaff Road in New Delhi, where Arvind Kejriwal resided during his tenure as Chief Minister, faced criticism after the BJP claimed that the AAP leader overspent on renovations and high-end furnishings, labeling it a ‘sheeshmahal’.
Later in his speech, Rahul Gandhi bashed Arvind Kejriwal for not fulfilling the commitments he made when he entered politics, such as purifying Delhi’s water and the Yamuna River.

“He [Arvind Kejriwal] also vowed to purify the Yamuna water in 5 years and claimed he would bathe in it, yet it remains polluted. I would request him to consume it. “We’ll gather at the hospital following that,” the Congress leader remarked, holding a water bottle that looked grimy and dark.
Rahul Gandhi also pointed out that the AAP leader asserted his politics was for the underprivileged, yet Team Kejriwal lacked any representation from backward, Dalit, or minority communities.
“In the ‘Team Kejriwal’ poster for the Delhi Assembly elections, there are nine individuals. There are no individuals present from the Dalit, OBC, or Muslim communities. They form their group, and whenever a riot occurs, they vanish. It was Rahul Gandhi who arrived following the Delhi riots,” stated the MP from Raebareli.
