Jasprit Bumrah has been named as the ICC men’s Cricketer Of The Year following outstanding performances in 2024. Bumrah had also won the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer Of The Year.

Bumrah became the first Indian fast bowler to receive the Sir Garfield Sobers Award and played a key role in India’s triumph in the domestic Test series versus England and Bangladesh. He also had a crucial impact on his team’s victory in the T20 World Cup.

Bumrah triumphed over strong rivals Travis Head, Joe Root, and Harry Brook to clinch the esteemed Sir Garfield Sobers Award.

Bumrah becomes 5th Indian to receive the honor

The pacer became the 5th Indian to receive the accolade, following Rahul Dravid (2004), Sachin Tendulkar (2010), Ravichandran Ashwin (2016), and Virat Kohli (2017, 2018).

Bumrah additionally claimed the ICC men’s Test Cricketer of the Year award after excelling for India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where he took 32 wickets.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
