90s Bollywood star Mamta Kulkarni has revealed her thoughts on her experiences in the film industry and whether she might head back to the Film Industry.
In an interview with India Today, Mamta expressed that being appointed as a Mahamandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada is akin to winning an “Olympic medal.” Mamta was recently designated as Mahamandleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada at the Maha Kumbh.
Will Mamta work in movies again?
Reflecting on her return to the entertainment industry, Mamta stated, “I can’t even picture myself doing films again. It is entirely unfeasible for me at the moment. Individuals of Kinnara Akhada embody the Ardhnareshwar form of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati.
“Achieving the title of Mahamandaleshwar in such an Akhada is comparable to winning an Olympic medal following 23 years of my spiritual journey. It is solely through the grace of Goddess Adishakti that I have received this honor. I decided to join the Kinnar Akhada as it symbolizes liberation. There are no limitations in this place,” she stated.

Mamta talks about her Bollywood journey in 1990s
She discussed her “time in the entertainment industry and working with the top stars of Hindi cinema.” She said, “You require all aspects of life, such as entertainment. It’s important to recognize your needs. However, spirituality is something that can only be attained through chance. Siddhartha (Prince Siddhārtha Gautama, who transformed into Lord Buddha) experienced everything in his life and subsequently opted for change.”
