Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, head of the outlawed group Sikhs for Justice, has made a new threat to interfere with the Mahakumbh, set to take place in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26.

In a video, Pannun called for “Prayagraj Chalo” to oppose and “kill Hindutva ideology”. He also urged his supporters to raise Khalistani and Kashmiri flags at airports in Lucknow and Prayagraj. Concluding the video, he declared, “Mahakumbh Prayagraj 2025 will become a battlefield”.

This is Pannun’s second threat aimed at the Mahakumbh in just ten days. In a previous video, he warned that he would interrupt important bathing dates of the religious event, such as Makar Sankranti (January 14), Mauni Amavasya (January 29), and Basant Panchami (February 3).

The Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad firmly criticized Pannun’s previous video. From Mahakumbh Nagar, Mahant Ravindra Puri, the president of the Parishad, rejected Pannun’s threats, labeling him a “lunatic.”

“If this individual called Pannun tries to enter our Maha Kumbh, he will be attacked and expelled.” “We have encountered countless individuals of this kind,” said Mahant Ravindra Puri, as reported by PTI.

The Mahant highlighted the bond between Hindus and Sikhs, claiming that Pannun’s efforts to foster discord were unfounded. “This is the Magh Mela, a gathering of Sikhs and Hindus together.” Pannun’s efforts to spark division are unjustified. The Sikh community has preserved our Sanatan tradition. “They have protected Sanatan Dharma,” he remarked.

The warning follows the recent deaths of three Khalistani Zindabad Force militants during an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Police in Pilibhit.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
