Tech giant Elon Musk will now be referred to as “Kekius Maximus” on X, and he has also updated his profile picture to the well-known “Pepe the Frog” meme. Musk’s profile picture features Pepe in warrior attire, wielding a video game controller.

Musk, recognized for his eccentric behavior and updates on X, provided no explanation for the abrupt name alteration. Recently, he has been sharing posts about the meme coin Kekius Maximus, which has drawn interest from investors in the crypto market.

Following Musk’s name change on X, the memecoin Kekius Maximus (KEKIUS) surged more than 500% within a few hours, based on CoinGecko statistics.

Meme coins are digital currencies that are based on internet memes or popular trends. A few years back, Musk elevated the Shiba Inu-themed Dogecoin to prominence in the meme coin market by regularly tweeting about it.

Although Kekius Maximus is not an actual character, it is inspired by merging the well-known ‘Pepe the Frog’ with the character Maximus from the film ‘Gladiator’. Maximus, a Roman general, was portrayed by Russell Crowe in the film released in 2000.

‘Pepe the Frog’, notorious for its association with alt-right groups in the US, is primarily regarded as a symbol of hate.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
