New Delhi:
The Indian batting line up collapsed like a deck of cards after the visitors opted to bat first at the Optus Stadium, Perth in the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test Series on Friday. The visitors lost their top four batters at the score of 51 before heading for Lunch.
Mithchell Starc opened the account for the Aussies, dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck before sending KL Rahul back in the hunt. On the other hand, Josh Hazelwood bagged the priced wicket of Virat Kohli after removing Devdutt Padikkal for a duck.
The visitors had no relief after the lunch either as Mitchell Marsh came into the attack and added two quick wickets, of Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar, to the wickets column. Losing half the team in less than 35 overs rang the alarm bells for India while the fans on Social Media began targeting Gautam Gambhir, the head coach.

Several Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans didn’t like the team selection for the Perth Test, especially the move to drop Ravindra Jadeja. India fielded three pacers
in the playing XI, handed debut to Nitish Reddy and picked Sundar as the lone spinner ahead of the likes of Ashwin and Jadeja.
The agitated fans began trolling the Indian head coach on social media. Here’s how they reacted:

Gautam Gambhir’s ill treatment towards CSK players & favouritism towards KKR players should be called out!!
– Ravindra Jadeja got dropped after being India’s best test player of this era & the greatest all rounder of his generation. Also, he was ranked no.1 as all rounder & no.6… pic.twitter.com/ey3R5caYaQ
