The Big Question: Should Rohit continue s Captain?

India’s T20I Skipper Suryakumar Yadav supported Test captain Rohit Sharma, mentioning that he has gained the skill of maintaining balance during the sport’s ups and downs from his fellow Mumbai Indians player.

In a press conference held on the eve of the T20I series opener in Durban, Suryakumar Yadav was questioned regarding the pressure facing Rohit Sharma following India’s 0-3 defeat against New Zealand in a home Test series earlier in November.

“In sports, wins and losses keep happening. Everybody works hard, everybody works hard to win. Sometimes, it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I have learnt this from him (Rohit) only — in life, being balanced is important. I have never seen his character change after his good and bad times. I have seen him grow as a lot as a player and as a leader,” Suryakumar was quoted As saYing.

“A leader wants to define how the team wants to play the format. A captain always wants to win, but a leader defines a style,” he added.

Nevertheless, the focus has turned to the four-match T20I series in South Africa, beginning on November 8. India has traveled with a youthful team that includes seven players from the T20 World Cup championship squad. The Test staples, such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Jasprit Bumrah, are excluded from the team as they will travel to Australia for the highly awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
